GCYWN is now on the YS (Youth Specialties) Network intranet. This is another way communities can communicate to other youth workers. It is also a way youth workers can share prayer requests, exchange resources, and discuss topics that are important to them. This is online now and in the spring it will be in app for the smartphone.

Dear NNYM Friends,
I would like to cordially invite you to a National Network Forum on December 8Th. The Network Forum will be held at the Grove City Church of the Nazarene in Grove City, Ohio located on 4770 Hoover Rd., and will begin at the crack of 10am and run until 3pm. Our special guest for our Network Forum is Doug Clark, who is our National Ministries Director for The National Network of Youth Ministries. A FREE lunch will be provided!
What is the purpose of all of this? For the past couple of years, The National Network of Youth Ministries has been asking hard questions about how we can better reach kids. We talk about that “every kid, in every school, and in every community should be given the opportunity to make an informed decision for Christ.”
This is where you come in. I am not inviting you to the latest program about how NNYM is going to accomplish this goal. Rather, we want to have a dialog with you on how we can best do this.
NNYM does have some ideas that will be communicated that we have initially called “Communities 4 Hope,” but we need to hear from you! How do we in Ohio reach every kid, in every school and in every community?
December 8Th is a great opportunity to gather, and see how the Lord is working in our state. What you are doing to reach kids is invaluable. Your attendance at this National Network Forum is also invaluable!
Please let me know that you can attend. This will be an outstanding time together!
Pray Continually & Take Risks!

This is a great tool for Youth Workers and Churches alike!
We Love Our Youth Worker is about helping churches reach the highest standards in the way they employ a youth worker. Whether full time, part time or volunteer, WLOYW Covenant can make a huge difference in the quality of your church’s youth ministry.
Here is what some leaders in ministry have said about We Love Our Youth Worker.
“The “We Love Our Youth Worker” Covenant is the kind of “rubber meets the road” commitment that can spell the difference between an ineffective, revolving-door church youth ministry and one that experiences exponential growth and impact. It’s a revolution in the way churches talk about and do ministry—one that will continually bear fruit. Sign on today and plant your flag in the ground for a healthy, sustainable youth ministry.”

We Love Our Youth Worker is a great tool to help strengthen healthy conversations between youth worker and pastor to talk about fair exchange and what are clear expectations. These type of commitments and focus will only help bring about more effective youth ministries and help strengthen the church community all together to help reach a generation for Christ. — Bo Boshers, President, LEAD222
I often hear from youth workers who feel deeply called to serve teenagers. But sometimes, because of miscommunication or lack of understanding between them and leaders in their congregation, they find their ministry hindered, or even terminated. Nobody wins when that happens, especially the kids! I believe We Love Our Youth Worker will significantly reduce the casualties in our churches in America. I urge you to support it. — Doug Clark, Director of Field Ministries , National Network of Youth Ministries

CONVERGE—come together, unite, connect…
Join students around the world September 28, 2011, for See You at the Pole™, the Global Day of Student Prayer. Be a part of something much bigger than your own local campus—join the movement! Be encouraged, challenged, and
blessed to experience what God is doing globally. Regardless of the church group or the school peer group you are apart of, gather with everyone and pray. Converge!
The 2011 See You at the Pole theme verse is a promise from Scripture that is one of the most popular and quoted throughout history by believers.
Whenever two or three of you come together in my name, I am there with you. Matthew 18:20 CEV
This simple verse is a comforting and encouraging promise from Jesus Himself that helps us to know He is always with us. When we gather and agree together, placing Him first, He is there. And when God and His people converge for prayer, lives change!
There are many See You at the Pole™ gatherings where dozens of students, sometimes even hundreds, gather to pray at their school flagpoles. Yet there are thousands of campuses where just a handful meet to pray. Regardless of number, God takes each situation seriously and promises to be in their midst. So, whether your school has a huge group that covers the front of the school or you have just two or three, there is power in each group.
